De Nacht van de Kaap reminds its visitors of a bygone era. An era when the port of Rotterdam was still located on the banks of the river Maas. And an era when Rotterdam’s former red light district Katendrecht was still rife with sailors looking to unwind in the district’s pubs, bars and tattoo parlours.
The event takes place in and around Deliplein, which lies in the heart of the Katendrecht district, and draws thousands of visitors who enjoy the festival’s rich programme of theatre and music.
De Nacht van de Kaap is renowned for its wide range of music, from traditional maritime sing-a-longs, jazz, blues and rock & roll to contemporary music and dj’s.
The event will take place on September 2nd between 5.00 PM and 04.00 AM. Ticket sale has already started.
