A unique, 15th edition of the OVG Veerhavenconcert. A classical open air concert performed on Saturday August 26 with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra led by Lahav Shani.
The historic Veerhaven in Rotterdam is the place to be. The transparant stage is situated on a floating pontoon in the middle of the harbor flanked by antic sailing yachts and small boats. Professional sound and light form, together with the monumental houses, the ingredients for a magical decor. On the quay free chairs for the audience.
On stage a complete Philharmonic Orchestra with their future chef conductor Lahav Shani. A young, very promising rising star who will demonstrate his skills before he will become the conductor of the orchestra in 2018. Furthermore, for the first time a pianoforte will be played by a professional pianist.
The concert takes place on August 26th from 7.45PM - 9.15PM. The general rehearsal at 3PM is also public and free of charge. For more information check out www.veerhavenconcert.nl.
