The Dag van de Architectuur (Day of Architecture, aka Open House Rotterdam) grants access to the extraordinary and influential buildings of Rotterdam that are not usually open to the public.
Discover Rotterdam from above
Peek into the neighbors’, climb to great heights in skyscrapers to admire the phenomonal views and have a look (and a bite) at extraordinary locations!
Behind closed doors
Last year during the Dag van de Architectuur the focus lied on two of Rotterdam’s former harbour areas: the Maritime District and the Wilhelminapier. Both areas are situated on the river bed and have only relatively recently been connected to each other by the Erasmus Bridge, metro and water taxi. You could join a tour through the area and discover new stories behind familiar buildings. Apart from building and walking tours, there were also architecture tours by boat, a cultural program and workshops especially organized for kids. What this year's programme will be like hasn't been announced yet.
