Various music genres come together during the multidisciplinary RVLT festival. In addition to electronic sounds, expect metal and dark jazz as well as workshops, exhibitions and more.
Listen to different music styles during concerts, follow workshops or visit exhibitions.
Friday, October 12
The RVLT festival kicks off with the distinctive Breakcore Night in WORM, an often hectic electronical evening that brings out mash-ups of conceivable styles. With performances by the five legendary artists Jason Forrest, Doormouse, E de Cologne, Toecutter and Ladyscraper. Tristan Shone (Author & Punisher) also shows his skills on stage. Petbrick brings an unprecedented dose of noise and speedmetal.
Bohren & der Club of Gore performs in the Arminius church. You can also listen to dark-jazz ensemble The Thing with Five Eyes.
Saturday, October 13
During Extreme Electronica, artists such as DJ Scotch Egg, Hassan K, Baseck and Voodoom will find their creative limits. The Rotterdam Munchi is also part of the party. Expect the weirdest crossovers like moombahcore and metalbreaks.
Sunday, October 14
Watch the documentary Milford Graves Full Mantis, about the life and (musical) philosophy of jazz drummer Milford Graves. You can also see the documentary Chaos in Morocco, which focuses on how Moroccan youths place their love for punk music in a strictly religious environment.
Keep an eye on the website of the festival to keep up to date with the latest developments.
